Being home a lot lately with the COVID-19 Safer at Home, I find myself eating all the time. It is so easy, the fridge is only twenty feet away at all times. Even when I am sitting here at the computer writing this article, I just finished my breakfast, it is so easy to make food and come sit here and start doing work while I am eating. When I am reading I find myself snacking on pretzels and hummus, or some other food. It is so easy when I am at home to just eat all the time.
What are things I do to help not eat all the time when I am at home. Here are a few things I do:
- Make a food plan and have my wife hold me accountable
- Go outside for a quick walk
- Drink a glass of water
- Grab a deck of cards and start playing solitaire or some other game
- Grab a journal and start writing
Being a person that is very active and needs to be doing something, I need to find something for me to do so that I am not putting food into my mouth.
